Hi,
I tried my new Snugpak Chrysalis Autumn over the weekend on Bodmin Moor. Very pleased so far.
1 night above freezing, had shoulder and hood strings undone and the zip undone by about a foot.
Next night was -1C. Zip done right up and hood string pulled a bit, and it was fine. This was on an old-style thermarest.
Generally it seems to be as good quality as my old Harrier 10. And it would certainly compress down to quite a bit smaller than 21cm diam X 28cm length if a smaller stuff sack was used. Snugpak claim 21 X 21 is possible.
The Tactical 3 looks pretty good as well in the literature, strange about the post disappearing.
I used to use the Harrier 10 in warm places, just left the zip undone. On these bags you can undo the zip from either the top or bottom or both. So you can just have a couple of inches zipped up in the middle. That works pretty well if it's warm. Next stage is just sleep on top of it if necessary.
Hope that's helpful.
Pretty good idea to go to the factory....... too late now.
