Custom-fit helmets
Does anyone know anything about custom-fit helmets? not custom finishing, I'm talking "made to measure" interiors, like racers get. I have a big head and have just about tried every lid in the European market. I use a 65, and BMW, the one that used to fit, will not go above "62(64/65)", whatever that means, anymore. Yes, I tried that and is too small - can hardly lock it closed. My current helmet (a BMW system 4 non-evo)is getting close to retirement, and I'm in deep trouble right now if I can't find anything that will work, with two bikes in the garage and no helmet to ride them with.
I can feel the tongue-in-cheek replies forming right now, but I'd appreciate some serious input - this could put me out of riding for good, as I will not ride without a helmet.

Rob:
Shape of the helmet might affect fit as much or even more than the actual size.
Arai makes three different shapes of helmets (meaning, three different interior shapes, to cater to different head shapes). You might want to check out their web page.
Also, on the higher end Arai's, you can remove the ear pieces and the cap over the top of the skull, and substitute these for other sizes, larger and smaller.
This isn't exactly made to measure, but it does offer a heck of a lot more choice than most manufacturers.
I own 3 Arai's, and I am very happy with the fit and quality of them.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
