Oxtar Matrix Goretex boots - They're good
I just thought I'd give a rave review to my boots. They are Oxtar Matrix Goretex and I've had them since last winter. Since I've been wearing them, I've not had cold or wet feet. This includes a 3000 mile trip last Autumn to Italy and back through baking hot sunshine, hail, heavy rain, cold mountain passes and high winds. I wore them as my only footwear the whole time including walking many miles in them around Monza. I also use them day in, day out for my usual London riding and occassional trips around the UK. I even wear them at work when I can't be bothered to go to my locker or pack other shoes. And, once or twice, people have said "ooh, they're nice shoes". My only, minor, complaint is that they can get a bit warm to walk in when the sun is out and that the zip on the left boot kinked and broke a couple of teeth almost as soon as I got them. And being the lazy arse that I am, I've never cleaned them and I've only waxed them around 5 or 6 times and they still work well. I'm guessing they must have done 8,000 miles through four seasons and a variety of different European conditions in temperatures ranging from about -2 to 37 C.
