well yah......... the terme is like this:
"BASHA" is a M.O.D. (ministry-of-defence) rain proof fly-sheet..... for bivouac purposes, can be found in any UK-surplus shop !
in sizes: 2.5x1.5m, 2.5x1.8m, 2.5x2.5m, in olive green or DPMA, with six securing loops along the outside so you can tie or peg down the "basha", made from 4oz silicon coated rip-stop nylon....
are you from the UK ?
this "BASHA" is a very common and well known lightweight item for all sort of outdoor use and specially famous among bushwhacker regarding it's small packing size........... in OZ they call it a "HOOTCHIE" but is pretty much the same thing than a UK MOD "BASHA"........ common people may just call it a tarpaulin or in shorthand known as "TARP"........ with other word.... if you don't use one outdoors, you may get wet if it's raining or your brain gets roasted in the glaring sun.........
