Helinox copies are good.

The Chinese copies of the Helinox chairs are good. Also the table.
Check out the Thermarest Bed. There is a copy of that on Ebay. £50 ish which is much better than £200.

I have all of the above, well tested and used, no issues at all. The bed is very comfy.

I now prefer the bed to an airbed. It only weighs 1.5kg. and packs down small.

Search camp bed on ebay. it the one with the lime green legs.

I like the Kermit chair but shipping to NZ is almost the same price as the chair!

Don't need an air bed, I have an exped down one

I have the Helinox bed (cot) and chair. I have used them on a trip around Australia and recently took them to for a trip around the North Island of New Zealand. The gear is well made and the quality and strength of the frames (T6061 Al?) and the webbing is excellent. The cot while expensive, is paid for by not staying a few nights in a cabin or motel. It sits off the ground, high enough to get my boots and other gear under the bed so only need a small tent. Great night rest!

Bed too heavy? I do not think so as the marginal difference between the bed and a thermorest (or equivalent) is about 0.8kg.

The chair gives good back support.

Hope this helps

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
