Can't help at all on vetting the available rentals ,but I suspect you could have some luck.
However you should be extremely cautious as to how you ride . They will be unfamiliar bikes and unfamiliar trails and your travel insurance more than likely will NOT cover you if you do get yourself hurt badly off-road because it is classed as extreme sport or competition, excluded.they have the same attitude to recreational trail riding probably.
Only the other day there was yet again a sad TV tale of a young tourist woman who got hurt in a sky diving accident in the USA and faces hospital bills of nearly a million , she may never walk again.
I know of a kid who rented a personal watercraft in CSL , did some stupid stuff and found the rental company trying to get him to pay for virtually a new replacement, pestering him to the point that he cut his vacation short for safety.
Not saying that you should not do it but be extremely cautious on the wild stuff, read the fine prints in your own insurance and and whatever insurance the rental agency has ,cover your butt.

Thanks for the info Sjoerd
Yea, insurance is covered, unfamiliar tracks, well, used to live down there a few years, so have been riding quite a bit east cape, cabo, san jose, todos and so on. And yea, more than once had someone try to pull a fast one on the gringo.
Thing is, the guy i used to ride with closed down his shop. The other dudes doing it back then, seems like they aint around either. One of the others i do know for sure is closed. Last one was next to the surf shop when you come off the highway in SJ, those guys never did to many tours when i was around. Cant find em online.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
