Has anyone, specifically from the UK, found it easy/difficult getting a visa for Honduras?

If you are riding a bike into Honduras it is a simple matter of showing up at the border passport and bike ownership papers in hand and filling in a few forms and paying a few fees, just like every other tourist with a passport from a European country . Be patient , knowing some Spanish helps .

Ah yes, but being from the UK I'm sadly not from a European country anymore! Since August UK citizens need a visa for Honduras.

What ???> Do you mean the UK has been towed to a new location somewhere on the planet out of sight for Calais ????
I think it is still a case of showing up at the border and applying to enter even if you are from the UK .
For starters try this website and hit the translate button
https://portalconsularhn.com/visa-honduras/
and https://www.honduras.com/aprende/inf...s-extranjeros/

My wife rode into Honduras on her British Passport a couple of years ago - no problem.
Canada to Argentina no problem.

I haven't had to deal with this, but from what I've read from other Brits trying to enter Honduras, it's a bit of a pain.
One couple hoped to get the visa in San Salvador, but when they arrired to the embassy, were told that they couldn't process it there and they'd have to backtrack to Guatemala.
That was about a week ago. I haven't heard an update.
Others who have posted in various social media have expressed frustration of having to wait a few days or a week to get an appointment for the visa.
So my advice: plan ahead.

Not really on the Honduran website! But I did on other websites.
As a UK citizen I definitely need a visa. It's hard work finding somewhere that gives me helpful information. I think this: https://citaconsular.sreci.gob.hn/ci...taConsular.php
is the page that I need.
I'm in Colombia now and the Honduras Embassy website of Colombia says that only those with permanent Colombian residency can apply in Colombia.
It looks like Panama is my best bet (I'll also be applying for a US visa there so Panama looks like it's going to be a whole lot of fun!). I won't be there until the end of March though so it seems I need to wait a bit until I can book an appointment - according to that website I mentioned. I've emailed the consulate there too - we'll see what they say.

Ooh...just noticed that the Panama website says only Panama residents can apply for a visa there.
I think I'll have to pretend that I've not seen that.

I heard a similiar thing of friends of friends in El Salvador. Maybe they're the same people!
They had applied in El Salavdor and waited for ages...and then were denied.
