Friends of mine have found tires in both Xela and GT City.
I would ask some of the many moto cops in Antigua where the shops are in that city.
I found a rear 17 in Santa Elena/Flores, but it may have been the only one in that area. ...seriously...

guatemala city
there are plenty of places to buy tires in guatemala city there is a place called FPK every biker knows that place located at 10 calle 4-38 zona 9 phone# (502) 23611923 and you can find tyres there, I went like two moths ago and bougth front and back tyre for my africa twin for like $150 both , also there is Moto Punto where you can find tyres too is located at 4 ave. A 13-24 zona 9 phone # (502) 23609522 Im pretty sure anyone can give you info how to find both places, and your 3rd choice would be Bavaria Motors s.a at 8a ave . 4-54 zona 4 phone # (502) 23313335 I know you probably wont believe that from bmw dealer, but sometime they have good prices !!!!! good luck.
Ricardo.

better late then never, at the end after much wandering in guatemala city we ended up buying the tires in the kawaski dealership which was the best deal in town.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
