Wanted to buy bike in mexico - crossing border at Tijuana
Hi guys - First post here
Looking to buy bike from fellow biker / bike shop
Will be crossing into mexico at Tijuana early December 2013.
Any advice on where to buy? Are dealers the best way to source a bike? Is it better to buy of a fellow biker through these forums?
Looking at Kawasaki klr 650 or something simmilar
All help is appreciated!

I think you will struggle to find a bike, unless lady luck shines on you.
Better bet is buy in Arizona - getting the title sorted is easy in Arizona and it would probably be cheaper.

Not unless you have legally imported it. Sure, you can sell anything you want here, but you should be straight with any prospective buyer. If you have never ridden in Mexico, there are some basics you need to know and understand.

Research
Tom,
Good luck with your trip. Mexico is fantastic and, in my experience from a few months ago, a safe, hospitable and scenic country. Not to be missed. Can I suggest you research this site before asking basic questions like where to buy and where to sell. There's alot of info.

If you are going out of Mexico back to the states, you can take the bike out to get your deposit back and take it back in and sell it in the Frontier states with no problem. If you want to sell it in the interior, you will loose your $300 deposit that you put on your credit card when you got your permit and tourist card.
