Best tube repair kit in the world?

Having googled for days for a valve repair patch, I stumbled over Tyrepliers in Australia and placed an order imediately.

This is what I got in the mail today:




For tubed tyres, it is one of the most complete kits I have ever seen. It contains:
-18 patches of three different sizes
-Valve patch
-90 deg valve extension
-Chalk (once you have used it, you won't turn back)
-Valve cap
-2 valve stems
-Valve removal tool
-stiching tool
-2 small internal radial tyre boot patches to repair tears in the tyre carcas (it is in the box, and on the picture - but not listed in the contents)
-2 tubes of glue

It remains to see if the patches and glue is any good, but they do look that they will do the job. Also, I see from the homepage that Arctic Trucks is one of their distributors - good enough for them = good enough for me (if you've seen the Top Gear show where they drive a Toyota to the magnetic north pole, then you know Arctic Trucks)

If there is anything I would have liked to add, it would have been two small bias tyre boot patches, one large radial tyre boot patch, a bias tyre boot patch, a multi purpose patch, plus one more tube of glue/cement. But this kit should get you through as is!

With my tyre irons, soap, WD40, spoke wrench, Gaffa tape, electric pump, third hand and a spare tube - I must say my tyre repair kit is pretty complete - and it makes me feel fuzzy and warm all over. Never needed a bead breaker.

I've seen even more complete kits than the one above, and they are all from Tyrepliers

Tyrepliers have tons of other kits and gear, also for tubeless, cars, trucks...

Yes, tools, glue and gummiworms to repair a hole in the tire. Otherwise you won´t go anywhere with a repaired tube, if the hole in the tire is any bigger than a nail diameter.
Oh, and where´s the grater for the tube?

forgot the grater, but have it in another kit. Agree, this should have been part of it.

Dont think id bother trying to repair a valve stem id reach straight for the sare tube. You have one on the dust cap already but I like a proper valve core removal tool. Gaffer tape saved my ass twice in mongolia and siberia when both rim tapes disintegrated. You might consider a valve stem puller, sometimes they can be a PITA, especially with new HD tubes. Some peole use rim protectors but I think they're a bloody nuisance. Talcum powder is useful to reduce friction and heat. Never heard of the stitching tool or narrow roller until i was in siberia, ideal when you're trying to get good patch adhesion. I use WD40 for lube. Might be useful to consider a backup in case inflator fails, i had a hand pump, which sucked, and a couple of co2 cartridges, which came in useful. Gloves if you can stand them, I tended to sling mine when it cam time to reinstalling the tube and locating the valve stem.

Having said all that, when things go tits up the adventure has a habit of really getting good.

You use it to roll back and forth over the patch after you have cemented it to the tube, in several directions, to "stich" the patch to the tube, assuring good adhesion. I've never used one before.

Previously I have allways used the edge of my tire lever to rub on the back of the patch until the plastic peels off, aiding the "cold vulcanization"...
