Gellert Rocky 2 Tent - Tent for trash
Hey together,
we are travelling through eastern-europe. Right now near Nessebar in Bulgaria.
We are touring since almost four weeks and the newly buyed tent (costs on amazon about 80 Euro) is definitely a shame.
We had only a few wet days and windy days, alltogether the weather was nice. But the tent is slowly falling appart. A few seams already came undone and the struts begin to deform.
After our eastern-europe trip in early September we will ship our bikes to Chile and therefor we are looking for other tents.
Here are some tipps that we find are helpful for the next search:
The outer-tent should be tightend and the inner-tent only to hang in.
Not the other way round like the Gellert. There the inner tent is tightened and the outer one is just to lay over it. So if there is rainy weather, it will not provide proper shelter.
We do not want a big tent, but a little storage place for bags is very useful.
Also the strings for tighten the tent would be better not only to be in the corners. One in between would provide much more stability and spacing between the outer- and inner tent.
So far so good. Does have somebody experience with the coleman tents?
Greets from Bulgaria.
