Panniers which set?
Right I want to get a set of Panniers, not sure about the top box? as i see that space big enough to run a otileb role bag right a cross if the need a raised, I am also not adversed to have a top box as could be used for commuting & in & out of London traffic (would of course take of the panniers off) so i don't take out any cars!! lol
can't decide between
TT Zega / Zega Pro
BMW
Metal Mule
points to note
I do like the idea of the panniers being flat on top, so you can use the top for strapping on other items, also the idea of being able to attach containers on the rear of the panniers, (must be the soldier in me),
they of course would need to be waterproof, (i know i would still use bag inserts)
any constructive advice welcome or other suggestions for Pannier manufacturers thank you

ally panniers come in a lot of choice as youve found out, comes down to price mostly from ALPOS to zega. if time and money were no problem i would get bernd tesch to make me some to exactly fit my bike and what i want.
then theres the choice of racks to put them on, some racks are better than others, same as their boxes. a mix might be best, depending on which bike you got and how the racks fit.
best thing to do is try to go to a show or somewhere a lot of bikes will be so you could see a variety in action and talk to the owners. shame you missed the ADV bike day at the ace cafe, there were some contraptions there.

I have Metal Mules on my F800GS, and they're great. Have survived a trip to Cape town, then a trip to Morocco, with several off's and being hit by a car from behind.
Not cheap, but very good quality.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
