It is worth sorting out the front end with regards spring weight and damping it is not difficult and most of the battle is knowing what you’re starting with before you change things.
Measure the sag, get the spring rate measured. With standard damper rods you’re going to struggle to firstly make changes to either the rebound or compression. If you to alter the damping with fluid weight they both change. I fitted some Race Tech emulators to give me adjustable compression damping, this allow me to adjust the rebound damping with fluid weight.
