. Beside the long stretches between cities or villages, sometimes in rural areas you might not find gas with high enough octane. That’s the case for example in Egypt between Bahareya and Daklha. The only oasis on that road is Farafra and the last time they had anything better that 80 octane is in the early 90s. Not to mention that from the looks of the station the underground gas tanks can’t be that clean.
