service and safety check for foreign registered vehicle

Hello,
can anyone suggest someone who can provide full service and "MOT" type safety check for a foreign registered 80 cruiser currently stored in Cambridge, but leaving for Europe in 2 weeks. A friend has enquired on my behalf and been confronted with all the beurocratic nightmare of UK registration and insurance as a prerequisite. As the vehicle is not staying in Europe that of course is not only expensive but unnecessary.
Appreciate any help
Cheers
Hone

Pre MOT

You should be ble to find a garage that will do a Pre MOT. basically the same as a regular MOT but without the paperwork. Normally done to let you know what is wrong with your vehicle. You could also just book in for a major service, which should cover all areas, but expensive!

80 Series check-over

Try Footloose 4x4 in Peterborough (half an hour from Cambridge). I was there last week and they had six 80 series Land Cruisers in the workshop in various states of preparation.

Just above the box where the Reg, number normally go's they put the chassis number.
In the reg. Number box they put "Not allocated"

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
