2 Weeks in Europe :-)
Hi,
I've been mulling things over about where/when/how (well, aside from on my bike that is!!!) and I've pretty much made my mind up about going down through France, across the Pyrenees, a little of Spain, then over to Italy - basically following the Med - I need some SUN!!!
So there's me looking for campsites over the past couple of days, and to be honest I could do with some pointers to decent web-sites/campsite telephone numbers - the amount of dead links so far I've come across has been infuriating to say the least!
Any help greatly received, happy to consider riding with company also - thanks all
Basically I am leaving via the tunnel between 23rd and 26th August, returning to UK on Friday 5th September.

At that time of year there's no real need to book ahead and on that route you will be literally falling over campsites. My suggestion is Camping Eratzu on the Western end of the Pyrennes, just over the Spannish border.

A Plan!
Hi,
After much thought, I've come up with the following plan for my two weeks in Europe on my "virgin" tour.
My Itinery is;
26th - Eurotunnel - Normandy, Camping.
27th - Tolouse-ish area.
28th - Across the Pyrenees, looking for some good suggestions for roads here. Also a camp-site - if I can't get this sorted then down to Girona in Spain, camping.
29th - Heading round the Med, playing it by ear with camping/B&B.
30/31st - Head for Rome - Back over the alps.
1st/2nd - Head up to Black Forest, want to get to Nurburgring again as well this year - Camping/B&B's
3rd - Flexible = May head up to Amsterdam ?
4th - France
5th - Home
If anyone has advice, it is welcomed. If anyone would like to meet up/tag along, that would also.

I'd suggest coming through the Pyrenees via Andorra via the high pass from the French side (over 8000 feet) el Pas de la Casa.
Stop off at one of the dozens of duty free bike shops near the Spanish border on your way out. This will bring you out in La Seu d'Urgell
Then depending on how much time you have.
There a wonderful road to the west leading to Sort - N260
which can be combined with a run south down N260 and C13 to Tremp, then take the back roads to the east across to Coll de Nargo
Then back up to La Seu d'Urgell, eastwards on the N260 towards Puigcerda, then a biking road which is truly not to be missed, the N152 through Toses to Ripoll, which puts you in the right direction for Girona.
Nearly all these roads have excellent surfaces, a mixture of fast sweeping bends, tight hairpins, climbs, drops and some absolutely stunning views with every twist and turn and very little traffic.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
