Anyone in Finland in July?
And specifically in the Lahti area? I'll be there and just wondered if anyone fancied a meet up.

We'll be somewhere around there...
Hi Alex,
I'll be in Finland around then, with my best mate. We are both Aussies, both 34yo and both enjoy a or two. We are going to be on two bikes heading around Scandinavia, and venturing on into Russia (hopefully), around into Eastern Europe and back to UK via some route we'll make up as we go. We are keen to meet as many people as we can on our trip.
We are leaving the UK on July 11 and plan to be heading into Russia about a month later, so will be in your area probably around the last week of July/first week of August. Not that we have anything other than a vague idea of how far we'll have to go each few weeks to ensure we'll make it all the way around before we have to go back to work...but we do have nearly 5 months in which to do it. Which means we are pretty flexible, so if we keep in touch we should be able to catch up if you are still there. Email me any time.
Cheers,
Damien

I should be back in Helsinki by mid-June and will be there for the summer, minus a two week stint in NY. I will be traveling a bunch through Finland in that time, so let me know when you arrive.

Kenny, what is your route? I am leaving Milano tomorrow, heading through the Alps into Switzerland where I will be playing for through the weekend. Then I will be making a very quick run up through Germany, Denmark, across Sweden and then ferrying across to Helsinki before June 10th.
I imagine I will be passing you somewhere along that route. Perhaps we could meet up for a quick ride or something?

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
