Baltic States and Russia
Mother (Pensioner - ME!) and daughter (beautiful - 23) journeying on separate Honda 500s to Baltic states and hopefully on to Russia (St Petersburg) in August 05. Not camping.
Advice/warnings/info on anything?
Grateful.

Grateful for Iain Woolley contact. Ploughing through it. Also have Baltic Rough Guide now.
Thanks, Margus, for Estonia contact. Concerns about accommodation in smaller towns/villages. Will we be able to find somewhere each night without booking ahead? Rough Guide says might be a problem.
Good luck for July, Speedmaster. Will you be back to share your experiences before we leave early August?

I was planning on getting to Russia around September but knowing there's a beautiful 23 year old lady biker going to be there in August I might have to set off early
I found this page an absolute mine of information with regard to travelling through Russia: http://dreamers1.com/russia/Practica...ticalities.htm
I'm planning on camping as much as possible and this has allayed quite a few of my fears.
Best of luck.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
