Car parking in south spain
Dear Community, very happy to be here!
We are currently planning a 4 week motorcycle trip to Morocco. We want to transport our bikes from Germany to Spain, leave our van in south Spain and set over to Africa with our bikes. But this leaves one question: Where are we going to leave our car ~3 weeks in Spain?
Does someone have any hints for good and affordable parking, max 2-3 hour drive from Tarifa, Algeciras, Gibraltar, Malaga, Motril or Almeria? We'd also be grateful for private/"non-professional" options to store our van, as long as it's secure and trustworthy.
If anything goes according to our plan, we will start our journey in Berlin at the 26.September, if anyone wants to join us both or meet up in Morocco, let us know!

If it was me, I'd just park it right next to a police station in any small town, lol
Have your tried reaching out using the HU email group for the area?

Hi,
there are very reasonable priced long term parking services for cars and camper vans all along the southern coast. Mostly near airports like Malaga at 50-70€/week, the more outside of town, the cheaper of course. i.e. Parking | Eurodog | Costa del Sol @20€/week.
As it is off season, you also could ask at camping sites around Tarifa for a secure parking arrangement. Or contact Tarifa german accommodation agent Stefan +34.680.402076 who can surely offer a solution/contact for save gated parking.

+1.
TodoTerreno explained things perfectly in his post above. Providing short, medium, and long-term parking for "Northerners" who visit southern Spain is a huge business all along the southern coast, especially in and around towns like Malaga, Marbella, and Estepona. These businesses tend to be concentrated around the airports, although the closer the lot is to the airport, the higher the price will be.
Use Google to see what is out there and what the prices are - I suggest you search with the criteria "Long Term Parking" and then the name of the town you are interested in.

Thanks everyone, I see there are a lot of solutions to our problem and we don't have to worry that much Most likely we will ask around on the campingsites and choose a more expensive Plan B secure parking.
