Croatia, nice quiet camping at the coast
Hi,
Don't know something like that exist, but does anyone know if there is a nice quiet camping (without music until the early morning) somewhere along the Croatian coast ?

Hummm, now that you mention it, it is kind of long'ish.
Anywhere north of Jasenice, either mainland or one of the half islands would be great, otherwise I'll just follow the coast until I find something.
Thanks.

I can only tell you about places within a days ride from home unfortunately...since I've only been inland in the Balkans...and don't hang around on the coast much in summer.
If it's peace and quiet you're after...then anywhere in Cres island matches your description. Camping Baldarin on the south tip is nice, it's a short ride away from a decent sized town (across the causeway on Losinj island).
The other place I like isn't a campsite at all, wild camping is tolerated near to Porec here There are absolutely no facilities there at all, not even water..although there's a food stand nearby.
Also in Istra, a little further south , there are some very quiet campsites near to Bale, here
As I said, beach camping in summer isn't quite my thing, and I prefer the seaside in winter...I'm sure other people can suggest nice places further south. It's certainly not all a party destination, and there are plenty of peaceful places.

In May stayed at a pretty campsite right on the sea front with small beach at Pula. Quite a largish site but very quiet (at that time). Some old deserted barack type buildings on the site suggest it might have been one of the Tito era youth training camps. There was no music or other nuisances.
Also stayed at a nice camp further south at Split, sign posted off the main coast road.

We stayed here in May, both very quiet and right on the edge of the water. Both very beautiful.

I got to the coast at the hight of Mostar, and with a bit of luck I found a small place which was quiet. After seeing the coast, I would not recommend it during high season, it looks like a seal colony. Also most of the campings are so full of campervans that it actually would be interesting to know how they get them that close to eachother and still be able to get in and out
As many have said it's a beautiful place, but I think I've had enough of it for a very long while.
Thanks you for the responses.
