Leaving end June Euro Trip
Hello all,
I have a Eurotunnel ticket for Sat 25th June, with the return date flexible up to 1 month ( 24th July ). The only thing that's booked is a hotel in Reims on the first night, and I'd rather use it than not as it's cost me a non refundable £107. Other than that theres no set plan, although a few places that I'd like to see. I won't go into them as yet, but if anyone feels like getting away and can do those dates or close, then someone to share the ups & downs of motorcycle travelling would be great, as well as the odd . I'll be riding a Honda Transalp, don't like motorways too much, not interested in doing 500 miles a day, and intend on camping a lot. I live in Essex ( don't hold it against me ).
Cheers

will keep this in mind
I may be around that area, around that time so may be hook up ? Will watch this thread. Often just take off for a "long weekender" around end of June( work permitting ) to stave off the travel withdrawal syndrome until I get chance for something longer

I've got a ferry from Hull to Rotterdam booked for 17th June.
My plan is hit Igoumenitsa (greece) for the Corfu ferry in about 20 days.
(via romania)
A few days rest and returning via adriatic coast.
I'm planning no more than 250 to 300 miles in any one day.
Riding a z1000sx and don't like motorways, camping pretty much all the way.

I'm looking to do a bit of a trip that way but aiming for a ferry to cherbourg around the 10th june. also on a transalp (old 600v), and taking my camping hammock so ideally staying below the tree line!
not sure if our paths will cross but i can keep you updated on where to avoid/not to miss!

Would be good to cross paths on the road, maybe even share some of the trip. I would also like to do the Stella Alpina if the timescale allows, weekend of 9-10th July. I would bring my crossing forward, but work commitments wont allow unfortunately, is anyone else flexible ? Looks like I'll be a couple of weeks behind.
Cheers,
Lee

Looking likely that I'll have to put my departure date back a week or 2 due to work, might mean I'm on the road at the same time as others.
Am also starting to wonder if it may be a better trip to not bother going as far east as Auschwitz on this occasion, and instead go south through Germany taking a more direct & possibly more scenic route to the Balkans.
Opinions welcome
