Mechanic for engine rewbuild needed in North East Spain..
As the title says, I may be looking for a top end rebuild in north east Spain between Perpignon and Barcelona. Can anyone recommend a good repair shop...
The bike is a DRZ and would need to be top spec desert worthy by September.

Still trying to get hold of BCN friends, out last night ...
Please tell Chris to check his e-mail due to Tour de France coming through, the white van man might want to know about it out too!

good mechanic!
Hi, my name is Jens and a very good friend of mine has a motorcycle garage in Barcelona, he is a very good mechanic and I think that he can help you! His name is Sergio, Tel: 0034 - 93 219 8179, street Bolivar 43 bis, Barcelona, close to Avenida Hospital Bolivar! He is also a good Enduro rider and knows the area very good! He speaks very little english, but you can trust him!
Say hello from Jens/Germany
Good luck!

Out last night......you.......surely not! Thanks for the enquries as ever.....Chris is still mid Pyrenees, if you need to contact him his phone is the best bet. I´m now stranded in Empuria Brava until my plane on Sun....Alet its not......Missing the place already (not sure my liver could have taken much more of the Rose´treatment though, especially with me being such a lightweight)!
Anyway, shouldnt you be working? Oh I forgot, you probably are ;-)
Take Care,
Dave

Man, I love this forum!!!
Cheers Jens! Can you tell me a little more about your friend? What kind of work does he normally do? Please dont think I am being disrespectful, but I do a lot of solo remote desert miles and I have yet to break down there because I am really fussy about who works on my bikes when I dont, great news to have a personal recommendation though. They are the only type that matters! Do you know if he does wheel rebuilds and tyres? My spanish isnt that good, but I have a friend that can call him and talk to him for me after the weekend.

I wasn't out last night - I never go out as you well know ... BCN friends were out!
Jens might have the edge there, the BCN friends aren't bike people but would know who to ask ... I'll keep asking whilst you have a go at Jens' one
Alet's not that far, Tour de France on Sunday - we'll have a Catalan flag flying on TV I suspect!

That is definately the problem with your place, even staying in is deadly! Cheers for the invite (AGAIN!!), if my bike was working I´d head over for a night or two, but its not........so it seems as I if it may be a few weeks before we head back over assuming all goes well financially. I´ll mail you early next week as we agreed and tell you how the mechanic issue has gone and also to discuss other matters....
Hope to see you real soon,
Dave

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
