Motorbike storage in Greece over winter, any advice?

Hi, we are Graeme & Katrina Perkins

We are currently in Kyrgyzstan after nearly 11 months on the road. But by Oct/Nov 2017 we expect to be in Greece. We plan on heading home to Australia for 3 months over the northern winter and are looking for a place to leave the bike, until we return in Feb 2018 so as to continue our RTW journey. Any ideas or options out there that we can follow up?

Also our 2016 Africa Twin will have about 50000 klms on it by then and will be due a major service. Can anyone recommend a reliable workshop to carry out that service?

Thanks in advance.

Graeme

You are more than welcome in my place. I live in Xalkida, less than an hour drive from Athens. Check your route and if you make it to Central Greece and Evoia island, you are MORE THAN welcome in my place.

Drop me an email so we can schedule everything (accommodation, service and storage). (thepinproject@hotmail.com)

Cheers

Nikos

We are currently in Ecuador but at the time you will be in Greece, we will also take a break from our RTW trip and fly back home for 2 months. So, it is the perfect timing to meet you and help with the storage, service, etc. We will be in Greece from 25/10 until 01/01.

We also have lots of friends from the motorbike communities who can guide you through with your bike in case you need something specific etc. We have also hosted a Mexican friend whom we met through HUBB!!!!!!

Safe travels ;-)

Nikos

Wow, thats a great offer. We have just entered Dushanbe after a week without wifi in the Pamirs.

As we approach Greece we will be in touch.

One of our primary goals is South America, your experiences will be much valued.

Ciao

Graeme & katrina Perkins.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
