Motorcycle Registration by proxy in Italy
I've come across a company called Mototouring based in Milan that offer to register motorcycles for non-residents in their company's name. The non-resident then uses it at will with the "permission" of Mototouring. One pays a daily storage fee and annual admin fee.
It seems a good way for non-EU residents to keep an insured bike in Europe and for UK residents to avoid riding back to the UK every year for an MOT.
Has anyone done this?
There seems to be a rule in the Italian Highway Code (Article 94, Para 4 bis) that may exclude use for more than 30 days. I'm not sure what time period is needed for that clock to reset.
