Norway
I had my first visit to Norway in June this year. I enjoyed it so much I just had to back, I have just returned from 10 great days. I went up to The Lofoten Islands, fantastic scenery on the Islands. As I said after my first visit, Norway has it all. I spent two nights in Skjolden, one night on way north and one when heading back to Bergen. I had my tent with me but spent both nights in the same Hytter hut. The scenery in the Skjolden area is great, with some great roads. I got the ferry from Newcastle going out but returned on The Smyril Line ferry from Bergen to Scrabster. This Ferry is very good, some people on this ferry were heading for Iceland, I was tempted but thought my wife would not be too happy, as she was expecting me home.

Hi,
Glad you liked Norway.
After living here for a while now, from Cheshire UK, I can really see more and more people coming to Norway for the fantastic roads and outstanding scenery.
Reading about the roads and the scenery on forums is one thing, but when you have been to the place, well, it completley takes your breath away.
The road north from Stavanger is all you need to know. How far North you choose to go is up to you.
Just keep heading North, and you will be amazed at every turn in the road.
I could go on, but I am going to just say, take your time and enjoy the place.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
