Scandinavian section?
Just a thought.. Would be cool if Scandinavia could have it's own section. Don't think it would be uber active in the beginning but I think it would be a good investment to increase the activity and awareness about HU in the northern parts of Europe and also an easier way for people who are passing through to get in contact with locals.
I can only speak for me and the swedes I've spoken to and what I've read on Swedish forums, conclusion: swedes are very active on the net and in bike communities like this but only on a national level and I think it's because they feel there is not enough space given to scandinavia on most international sites so they tend to stick to their own =/..
That's something I would really like to change!
Thanks for reading..

great, thanks for this question...
I would warmly welcome such a approach, doing a HUMM in Sweden...
Don't know about cold weather in Sweden around Mai-Jul... seams to be very hot to me.... from my point of view and experiences...
a mate from England and I from Germany love to travel to Sweden in summer, we usual meet in Esbjerg/Denmark and ride over to Sweden to enjoy your country for a few weeks, been there tree times and want to go next year too... again... would be very nice to meet other folk... in definitely folks who are doing a HUMM.
is it possible to make the 1st northern HUMM abound end of May beginning of June ?
have been on the 2nd German HUMM his year and meet fantastic folk from all over the world, very recommended a treasure to all who like travelling by bike. The Sweden HUMM would be a absolute highlight... knowing that many British, Dutch, German and many people from other nations love your country and exploring and enjoying this wonderful play of nature and relaxed friendly nation by bike every year...
you will want to make a HUMM again and again ones you started doing the 1st. every one who been there ones will support you for ever....
PLEASE ORGANIZE A NORTHERN HUMM !!!
spooky

I love the enthusiasm =).. I attended the one in La Molina a few weeks ago and must say it was top notch but I don't know how the swedish biking community would approach it. I feel there is a vast gap and lack of swedish bikers on international forums.. I could definitely see myself taking part of arranging such an event but as stated before an even faster and more direct action to try and unite swedish/scandinavian bikers with the international scene would be to just open up a Scandinavian section on the board and let the brainstorming begin.
I'm starting my travels through sweden then up to northcapp then back down through norway(I live in lund, 1 hour from copenhagen) on Monday, and still I haven't found any info at all by likeminded swedish bikers. A pity....

Denmark would be geographically ideal for a HUMM with short distances to Norway, Sweden, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Polen but we have almost no legal offroad roads, only drivable beaches. Sweden has a lot more.
BUT how many members are there from the northern parts of Europe ?
I don't know about a scandinavian section. I always click "New Posts" and scan through there. I only choose a section, when starting a thread.

There are at least one more, ME . I live outside of Malmoe and I have begun my new life on wheels. This summer I went down to Turkey(Varadero International Meeting) and back. 10620 km. In September I´m going to Bolzano, Italy. I think its a great idea to start a Scandinavian section. If I can be at any help, please let me know. I will gladly assist in promoting the southern part of Sweden.
Best regards
Jerry

hei
Scandinavian, Finland is part to of it too . Here in finland we have ( i believe) quite a lot of off-roads bikers, we have actuall quite a lot of gravel roads to drive and actuall several all kinds ofroad-driving meetings in year. Unhappily most websites are only made by finnish
This is from one happening in this summer YouTube - KKKK09
I don't know how much finnis driver is her in HUBB but i hope that several
