Ukraine / Kiev / Prypyat

:confused1:
Hi all,
I'm serching for tips and information.
- Hotel in Kiev (Secure parking and low price)
- Best way to visit Prypyat and Chernobyl

I know most of what is on Google but I would like to also hear from someone with personal experiences and maybe with some connections

To contribute I suggest you all to stop and look at this two places if your passing by...
Tarakaniv Fortress (Ukraina, Rivne)
N 50° 21.769 E 025° 43.073
Abandoned Tunnel of Love in (Ukraine, Rivne)
50.746389, 26.021667

Many thanks, Johan

Camping in Kiev, they have a secured parking, camping possibility, relativly cheap Hotel and cottages for rent.

Prices for Chernobyl are fixed and tours organized by the former intourist agency. All other companies work trhough them. Te pick up and drop off will be in the center of KIev, tour is a whole day.

We did it in 2006, 2009 and 2012.

Groetjes,

Jeroen

Hi,

You can put the coordinates in my previous answer in the searchbox in www.maps.google.com and it will show.

Address:

Hotel/camping Prolisok

Peremohy Prospekt 139 Kiev

In fact this is the Highway Lvov/Zytomir/Kiev so coming from Lvov very easy to acces.

Some Chernobyl tours

Экскурсия в Чернобыль, Припять. — Туры выходного дня — Первое экскурсионное бюро

https://www.chernobyl-tour.com/engli...&skin_name=eng

Экскурсии в Зону Отчуждения. Туры по Киеву и Украине, а также в Припять и Чернобыль

Succes,

Jeroen

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
