Hey Barney have you decided on road plans? I thinking of heading over again this year. Probably leaving Thursday to get there Friday. Returning again over 2 days just to enjoy it.
I normally travel via Williamstown and Palmer to Tailem bend also. Might look to tag along if travel dates are amicable

Thanks Barney.
Sounds like a plan, are you planning on doing any dirt roads on the way?
I will be on a 2010 1200GSA but possible its first outing with me, normally on a big road bike, but haven ridden on plenty of dirt with road bike previously.
Will you be camping at Bendigo?

Wasn't really planning any dirt. Looking at it as more of a road trip and might take my road bike as opposed to the Tiger.
Am in the dorm at the event so I didn't have to bother with my camping gear so will be in a motel somewhere in Bendigo.
Edit. Will be taking the Tiger after all so will be open to any type of road surface that gets me there.

Have no idea on accomodation, I'm happy to pay up to $130 for a nights accomodation, just browsing booking.com
Maybe make a booking at the weekend or nxt week when I get my laptop back from the repairs

Had quick look on WOTIF and there are a few options that are fairly central. I'll book something later this week or on the weekend.

Have also booked in a couple of nights in Bright after the event. Sunday and Monday night. Just for a day loop out of Bright on the Monday. Then start heading back to SA on Tuesday
