Angry Aaaahhh!!!

Dark forces are keeping me from going to this meeting .
First my sick coleague (So I couldn't be there on Friday) Then this morning on my way to Ober-Liebersbach Engine problems near the Belgian-German border.(Near St.Vith).
Got back home just now. Don't know exactly what but seems to be one of the valves.
Really disappointed but...better luck next time.

I wish you all a very pleasant weekend in Germany.

Thanks Jens from me and Mark. We made it back home in the UK this afternoon having spent last night in Dinant (Belgium). The weather was fantastic and we did not have any rain for the whole trip (6 days) which for Europe in late October is good going.

Special thanks goes to Vera, the young girl in the Gasthaus, who worked tirelessly at all hours without complaining.

See you all again soon we hope.

Great Meeting

Hi Jens and team,
Thanks for this great meeting!
Being a first-timer on HU meetings I really enjoyed all those nice people and the wealth of information for my own trip to south america .

And also some compliments to Vicky - she really did a great job!

The only "downside" to remember for next year: Watzenhof asked for 65€ at the beginning. After mentioning that others of our group payed 49€ they agreed to go down to 55€ and needed some additional "discussion" to go down to 49€. Nevertheless they did it in a very friendly way.
Despite this the hotel is quite recommendable...

Hope to meet you somewhere in south america, Jens!
(You will recognize my sidecar probably pretty easy when you see it)

Ugo

Glad to see that you made it safely back to Oz. Me and Mark took a slow ride home and managed to get all the way back to the UK without rain-something of a record for this time of year-just a bit chilly though. I saw fom Markus's website that he met up with you in Paris. Markus has posted some pics of the German meet on his blog Germany | Flibber T Gibbet (scroll down a fair way) including a piccy of the snoring sign on my tent

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
