I can't do Moto Andalucia because of work commitments, unfortunately, but I'll pencil in the 2008 HU meeting. Combining it with the HUMM is a nice idea. I missed this year's HUMM because of work too, so I'll be keen to try it next year.

Hi, I'm new to the HUMM, but could you pencil me in for the 2008 meet. After a couple of trips in Holland, Germany and a great week in the French Alps i'm eager to undertake more trips/adventures. Look forward to meeting you folks and learning from your experiences. By the way,I have voted for September.
Regards

Yep, absolutely could do with a hand next year. We're looking at the third weekend in September (19-21st) so clear your diary!! PM me with your contact details.
We had the first 'unofficial' meeting last month - Moto Andalucia. You can see the photos here - Picasa Web Albums - Dakota.
We've already got a few people on the list for presentations with promises of more people attending next year. A group of us will be leaving for Morocco straight after the meeting.

Does that work for going to morocco for end of ramadan?
I'm riding from Belfast on a road bike (honda deauville) and going on from the meeting to morocco to do a tour based on Tim's suggestions in the thread 'Morocco for beginers'.
Anyone else on a road bike?
Drew

Yes, that week does coincide with Ramadan (September 1 - September 29) and we're looking to leave on 22 for about 2 weeks or so. Tim did a presentation Morocco at our Moto Andalucia meeting last month and it got us all fired up to go!!
So far, everybody is on dual sport bikes and we are planning to ride roads and pistes. Eventually, we'll be publishing the proposed route with waypoints when we've got it all mapped out.

Haven't voted yet.
I'm considering doing my own thing in August but I'm having problems finding people with the motivation to come along.
I'm in Education so August is my only option as I don't get to choose my holidays.
But if my own thing doesn't work out and it was in August i'd love to come along.
Just incase your wondering! No I'm not a teacher and although I do get the same holidays, I don't get paid for 'em.
Thats why it's one trip a year in August.
Jon
All the best.
Jon.

I'm up for this.
I read in a bike magazine here that there's an off-road route (joining up lots of others) from Barcelona to Madrid. Does anyone know if this is true? I don't have the magazine any more unfortunately.
I wonder if it's possible to try and get some off-roading (trail) from Barcelona down to the south. If anyone's interested, coming from the north? Plenty of time to plan a route.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
