Looking forward to it Susan!
Hey Susan!
This is Jim Wooden!
We met at the 2017 VA meet.
I had promised to come back and give a pitch of my big adventure at the 2018 meet,
but .... I was having too much fun I think I was still in Costa Rica in April 2018.
I didn't make it home until about Thanksgiving
I'm almost done reworking the bike, and am putting the finishing touches on my pitch!
I'm not sure when Grace has me on the schedule, but I'll be ready to go whenever she says!
Jim

I will be riding near Holiday Lake on Friday, April 26th at would like to stop by the HU Virginia meeting. Are passes available for a single day? I can't find any on the registration page.
Thanks!

HU Appomattox
Hello,
I wanted to find out if there was still room available in the men's bunkhouse for Appomattox? I've already registered and paid to camp. Wanted to see if I could pay the difference and get in bunk house. if not no big deal wanted to check.

bunk space
Rusty:
I'm not one of the organizers, but I was there in 2017 and there was PLENTY of space in the bunk houses,
so logistically I don't see this being an issue.
I'm sure one of the organizers will get back to you soon, and I expect the answer will be:
"Yeah, leave the tent home just bring your sleeping bag, pillow, and ....
while the camp beds are not bad, you could bring your air mattress to make the camp beds a little softer.

Rusty,
Space in a bunkhouse should not be a problem, and we'll be happy to make the pricing adjustment when you check in.
So, as Jim said, "Yeah, leave the tent home just bring your sleeping bag, pillow, and ....
while the camp beds are not bad, you could bring your air mattress to make the camp beds a little softer."
See you next week!

We'll have a day pass available for Saturday only, and we're finalizing the pricing for it. The Saturday day pass will be available onsite and only on Saturday.

A fellow rider wants to ride to Guatemala, I'd be interested in talking to people about that and other adventures.

Looking forward to Thursday. We have lodging, but is it too late to sign up for the food?

Late questions from a noob
If I wanted to add a partner to my registration would that be possible at this late stage?
Also how do I check if I registered for food/lodging/camping?
I signed up back in December and I can't for the life of me remember what I did then.
Email REMOVED to REDUCE SPAM - if that's more appropriate.
Thanks,
George

Adding in person for HU Virginia
Hi George, to answer your questions:
You've signed up and paid for 8 meals and 3 nights camping.
Online registration is closed, but there's plenty of camping space and there will be a few extra meal packages, so just bring your girlfriend along and she can pay at the event.
However, it will be $30 cheaper if you pay in advance, it is $236, and you can start here to pay by PayPal (including credit cards):
https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ev...later/virginia
Cheers,
Susan

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
