HU North Carolina 2017 on Sep 7-10 at Stecoah!
It's back! Note the earlier date! Southern hospitality provided by uber-host Mike Kilpatrick, assisted by Steve Anderson, John and Charlene and the team at Ironhorse Motorcycle Lodge. Great riding in the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and Blue Ridge Parkway.
Typical comment: "Big thanks to Mike & Steve for putting together such a wonderful event! All the heart & soul you put into it gave us a platform to chillax & connect in so many ways. Thanks for setting the tone & keeping the ball rolling."
A few pics from Steve Anderson and Andrew Pain - thanks guys!

Mark your calendars, online registration will be open soon!

Getting psyched!!!
Looking forward to this meeting. Wife Robin is coming, her first long ride and first motorcycle event. Coming from Florida, taking two days so I don't wear her out. Arriving Thurs evening, don't want to miss anything.

Heading up to be there early Friday from Central Florida. Never been so want to scope it out. May want to be a presenter in the future.

Hurricane Irma
Things are not looking god down here for me to be able to leave for this meeting. Have to watch this one carefully. I can't leave my family to fend fro themselves if the track doesn't change substantially. I sat in the house through Hurricane Charley and $126,000 and four years later we were back to normal. Keeping my fingers crossed I will still be able to leave early Wednesday evening. Getting out of Florida then is not a problem and the storm should have minimal impact on the meeting. We are smack dab in the middle of the Florida peninsula (east of Tampa) right where the tracks are pointing to now. Don't have much more time to make a decision.

King bed cabin available
Hurricane Irma has my wife in panic and she will not be coming, so I don't need my king size bed cabin. I think I am on the hook for it, but I hope IronHorse will let me substitute. Anyone want it? Would not mind swapping for a bunkhouse bed. PM me

Looks a little more favorable for Irma to not come right up the Florida peninsula, so I am packing my bike and hope to leave early morning.

Not going to make it. Evacuated wife and horses to Ocala. Left at 5 AM and arrived here at 12 PM. Left here at two thinking I might be able to do it but turned around and came back. Traffic on I 75 headed north was relatively impossible

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
