HU Ontario 2017 from Sep 7-10 at Camp Tamarack
We're pleased to announce that HU Ontario 2017 is happening! We're back in Camp Tamarack! Greg Powell is the local host for this event, with able assistance by Liz Jansen, Jean and Ross Copas, Bill Hooykaas, and a lot of volunteers. Mark your calendar, online registration is open now, with super early bird rates until Dec 31!
Meanwhile, check out some pics from HU Ontario 2016! Thanks to Greg and Andrew Pain for the pics!
Yoga on the dock by the lake!
Skills course
Honda Canada test rides!
Lakeside conversations
Presentation room
And more to come!
Greg says:
"I am very excited about being your HU Ontario host for 2017. I want to make it even better than last year, with more vendors, more attendees and a variety of presentations. I could really use your help:
1. Tell your friends about the event, the best advertising is word of mouth
2. Register early, here on Facebook as well as on the HU site once registration opens. Vendors always ask how many people are coming, the sooner you register the more attractive it is to vendors.
3. If you know a good presenter or potential vendor send them a link to the HU Website
4. Suggestions for the event – let me know.
5. Keep checking back here and the HU website for updates
This year we are expanding the bike games / skill contest, which Bill will be running again, I know he has already put a lot of work into planning this event.
Honda has us penciled in and will be back with Demo rides. Now that we are confirmed with the venue I will be following up with other companies.
Remember – September is the new August!"

Ontario meeting
Ontario and North Carolina meetings on the same weekend.?
Thats too bad since I visited both meetings this year and would have loved to do the same in 2017.

We agree, but it was the best we could do Hopefully next year we can adjust it.
Perhaps time to try one of the western meetings?

Early bird
It's still not too late to take advantage of the early-bird price for registration.

Accomodations question
Hi there, I've signed up (first time) to attend the HU ON event. At what point do I find out if I'll have to pack a tent or whether I can have a bunk? In the sign-up the cost was the same and there seemed to be no where to identify which I was interested in.

tent or bunk
There are lots of bunks available, so no need to worry about not getting one.

hi Susan. as you know Simon and I never really know when or where we are going to be in the world too far in advance.....but...as it happens we will both be in (near) Toronto at the time this event is happening.
Would you be interested in having us attend and present for this HU event? if so, can you put us in contact with the correct people!
Its been a long time since we've been in the right place, at the right time to get to an HU event!
hope this works out.

HU Ontario 2017
Afternoon Susan. Do you know when you will post a schedule of presenters/events. Not sure I can stay the whole time but would like to see certain presentations. I missed last year due to work.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
