I will be attending, have registered and paid for my package. Of course, I will be presenting again:
Fly Fishing for the Motorcycle Traveler
Discuss minimalist fly fishing gear for carrying on a motorcycle, and demonstrate fly fishing techniques.
Have you ever wanted to take a fishing rod on your motorcycle travels? This presentation will give you great tips on fly fishing gear and techniques. A demonstration will also be part of the presentation, because it will be lakeside. Maybe we'll catch a blue gill or two.
D. Brent Miller has been motorcycling since age 15. He is the Program Leader for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing—Cincinnati. The program teaches Veterans with disabilities how to tie flies, cast a fly line, build their own fly rods and provide opportunities for the Veterans to go fishing.

My wife and I will be there on our brand sapnking new 2018 Ural Gear Up. This will be her first motorcycle event ever. And it’s the first time she will be back on a bike after a couple of unfortunate crashes a few years ago that, along with a life-threatening automobile accident, made 2-wheel motorcycles a bad idea for her.
I’m so psyched to have my favorite riding buddy back!!!
See everyone there!

Looking forward to the presentation. My wife and I are new to fly fishing, but love it. And, we just got a Ural Gear Up, so there's bound to be room for a six piece rod and reel...or two!
See you there!
Mike

Registered and keeping my fingers crossed that nothing pushes me out again and I miss it like in the past
Because my schedule is soooo uncertain I did not select that I would volunteer. Assuming all goes well and I make it, I'm guessing there will be opportunities to volunteer when I get there if it's still needed?
Thanks for putting this on again -- looking forward to learning and sharing!

I'm so looking forward to this - it's the first time I'll have been over on this side of the US at this particular time of year!
It coincides with the start of a cross country trip (I'm planning on incorporating the newly released Trans-Am Trail sections in Virginia and North Carolina as part of my route west), and I'll be presenting three topics at Horizons' over the weekend too:
The first will be the US debut of my new AV presentation 'Northern eXposure' - featuring highlights from my big North American trip last summer, onboard my CB500X.
I'll also be hosting a more practical Q&A style seminar about packing light, and this ought to dovetail nicely into my 3rd 'show and tell' with regard to the new BMW G310GS that I'll have just bought, and plan to cover some big miles on this year!
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all over the weekend!
Jenny (and piglet of course!) x

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
