2006 Rideouts Full !
All booking for the rideouts are full for this year.
There is no advance reserve list. If you want to go on a ride contact Grant or myself on the Friday or early Saturday morning at the event and we'll confirm if there is any space left. Don't worry there usually is !

Am I missing something here? Where on the HUBB do we book rideouts? Is there a thread?
Last post I saw said that only 20 people had actually booked and paid for the UK '06 meet.
Mmmmmmm.....

ALL info is / was on the UK Meeting webpage, and has been for months.
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/meetings/UK2006.php
You can put yourself on the wait list at the meeting, first come first served, as there's always a few that miss for some reason.
Re numbers - er, 20 was 6 months ago - we now have over 335, and there's over 6 weeks to go. Last year one-third of the registrations were in the last 4 weeks.
Get registered and paid ASAP please!
T-shirt order going in next week, so you could lose out if not pre-ordered.
See you there, it's going to be awesome!

Thanks for pointing that out Grant, I (and I suspect many others) tend to go directly to the HUBB (that is where we log in), and tend to miss much of the other information, after all, the update information about the meetings is posted on the HUBB (i.e. Glyn's post about the rideouts being full).
Must get my selective myopia sorted.....

Yeah I know - and there are some people who don't know the HUBB exists... we all have selective myopia of some sort - I know where everything is, so it seems totally obvious to me what's up - that's where you guys need to tell me what you'd like to see changed - and in what way. "I think it's crap cause I didn't find it" doesn't help me make it easier to find for all of you. (Doesn't mean it isn't crap! )
We are working on co-ordinating it all, and making the info more "obvious" I HOPE!
Although I have to point out - the left menu exists for a reason! There's 4,000+ pages over there...
Also note that there is an RSS feed now for the HUBB - you can have a little box pop up on your computer when there are new posts. I use RSSReader http://www.rssreader.com/
(Go to the faq and search on RSS and you'll find what you need to set up a feed)
Note that updates to Meeting etc info is posted here when someone thinks of it...

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
