2 more for Dent
Hopefully Bev and I are in for this. Very pleased to hear the memorial service was well attended, our thoughts were with you even if we couldn't be.

Just to let everyone know I have contacted Dent camping site to enquire about a camping weekend on the 19/20 January, If they are open for camping and able to take us I will set this as the date and will then make enquiries with the three pubs to find the most suitable for food - and the ability to accommodate us into hopefully one (Child and pool table free) room for the evening.
I will even have to take on the terrible task of riding over to Dent and visiting said establishments and sample the food, and suitabilty. Whilst my wife will have the pleasure all to herself of going to Newcastle to do the christmas shopping.
You see what I am willing to give up - only I assure you - to ensure you lot all have nice convivial surroundings that live upto your high standards and expectations on your winter journeys to the North!.

I won't be there as its my sons 5th birthday, so it'll be party time with 20 kids.
I hope it stays snow free for you all and have a great time.

joec90 Yep I saw your link and can't do better than a recommend from you - but me thinks I will still do the honourable thing and pre test the area and pubs if I get the chance to escape for a night.

The campsite at Dent is closed for the winter however they are opening for us however there is a strict maximum of thirty allowed to attend for camping. Fees will be £4.00 a head and Mick the owner is prepared to do breakfasts for a small fee. The campsite is 100 yds from the village and so the pubs are well within range. I will check on numbers attending to keep within the limit but cant see more than 20 coming !!!!

dent
I was there at the famous last words club do last weekend, the sun inn's Dent aviator was superb. I did eat Jacket tatty with tuna and salad enjoyed it etc.
The condor campsite was fine as ever, bonus being the pegs go in nice and easy. I didn't try the campsite breakfast as i surfaced too late.
what more can I say???

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
