Ted Simon back in the UK !

Ted Simon is back in the UK soon promoting his latest book. Not only is he one of the many special guests at this years 7th Horizons Unlimited Meeting in Derbyshire in June (more details to follow) but he is at CW's on March 11th. Anybody else planning on going? Anybody had a sneak preview of his new book and would like to comment?

As I understand it he's at the Ace Cafe in London on the 7th March - i need to check that date though.

Imy new book Dreaming of Jupiter will be coming out in England and Germany in March, and later in Holland. I'll be writing about it on my web site, but I wanted to send you something personal early on.
This is how the first half of 2007 is shaping up. Please let me know if there's somewhere you think I should be that I don't know about:


On January 22nd I will fly to London, and on the 26th I go to Mallorca where a German TV journalist wants to interview me, in the sunshine, with a motorcycle.
I will return to California from Germany on February 16th.
On February 26th, or thereabouts, I will go back to Germany. The following weekend there is a motorcycle show in Dortmund where I will be an exhibit (not stuffed, I hope) at the TourenFahrer stand.
If possible I will get the R80GS over from England. Otherwise I will go with my own 650 from Duisburg.
There is talk of another motorcycle show in Dublin on March 4th.
During the following week I will be transported around the UK to publicise Dreaming of Jupiter.
Friday March 8th is a big night at the famous Ace Cafe on the North Circular road.
Sunday March 11th is another big night at CW Motorcycles, in Dorchester, where the journey began.
I expect to return to California in the middle of March but could stay on if necessary.
Around April 20th I will be back in Europe, to take part in a literary festival in Hamburg on the 25th, and then to attend Bernd Tesch's meeting on the 27th.
After that I expect to return to the US and visit my son in Kentucky. We have a plan to drive across country to California bringing my old Ford tractor and all the implements with us.
Finally, at the beginning of June I expect to be back in Germany for a meeting of TransAlp enthusiasts at a castle somewhere north of Frankfurt, and then later in England for the Horizons Unlimited meeting in Derby on the 21st


Over the years people have asked if I would be around to give talks, slide shows, etc. This is obviously a good year to catch me. I'll have the new book, and lots of enthusiasm. The best periods would be the second half of March, the first half of April, the end of May, and the middle of June.


Let me know, as soon as possible, if you have any ideas.
