Any help with the 'Tech' presentation?
Hi everyone,
I'm running a Saturday evening session on 'Making technology work for you, and not the other way around'.
One area where I have no knowledge of whatsoever is GPS navigation/equipment.
If anyone attending has experience of this, would they mind doing a short piece at the session about it?
Thanks,
Matt

Ian Bradshaw is down to do a talk on GPS.
Also Matt, we'd really appreciate if you could be around to help ensure our hardware (laptops, data projectors etc) are/is working/interfacing with each other (especially at changeover times between presenters).
Cheers

What is the GPS talk being held? I've just bought a second hand Nav.II & could do with a bit of instruction.

I spoke to Glynn about a month ago and agreed to provide a laptop, two digital projectors and two sound systems for the event in case of any issues with the setup on site. I will be around to look after any issues there might be and make sure stuff runs smoothly....If you need anthing else make sure you let me know ASAP!!!!!
See you tomorrow!

Glynn did tell me that you were doing us this huge favour. I don't think we need any more hardware. See you there this evening.

Neil mate,
Completely forgot about the UWE data proj you offered. Pls bring it, space in your panniers permitting. That way, at least we'll have backup. Dave Lomax is supplying 2 already and we have 2 rooms to cover. Glynn is very organised where hardware is concerned.
Cheers
Chris
PS. I'll be arriving at about 6.30-7.00

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
