Laning time
I think you said that the ride-out on Saturday would start about 10?
Where will you be leaving from?
Weather forecast has improved so I will ride down, no need for car parking!
See you

Thanks
Thanks for the great ride. I was sorry that I had to peel off but severe cramp in my left leg meant that I was about to become a major liability. I had to ride home with my leg dangling like a broken wing!
Nice crowd - good experience watching the combo - I described it to Pam she loved the idea - !!!!!
Thanks again - see you soon.

Thanks Ian for organising this weekend and Mark for back up support it was great to be a part of it and also to meet old and new faces. If you do it again I will be there for sure you were fantastic hosts. Thanks to your lovely partners for loaning you to us for the weekend.
Thanks to Ela and Tif for the talks reminds me of how much I really need to get my act together!
Hopefully see you all again soon, the mud has been washed off the XL as I type I loved seeing the grin on Graham and everyones faces when they got back from the muddy lanes.

Echoing the sentiment of thanks, great fun.
Errm somebody gave me their mirror at the end of a lane but didn't ask for it back (and I completely forgot I had it after about 5 secs!!), it's safe and sound but get in touch and let me know how to return it to you

A really great meeting and well organised.
Make some new friends; listen to inspiring stories from travellers like Ela and Tiffany - plus chuck-in some great pub food for good measure.

"errr, that'll be an XL 600 mirror You have there"......!!!! Hold on to it please.
What an excellent weekend, my offroad riding was a tad scrappy but what a deep thirst I have now for a more suitable green lane machine, been on ebay all afternoon....!!!!!
Thanks Ian and Mark. Hero off the weekend goes to the GS pilot on the ride out...!!!

I wanted to echo what everyone else has been saying - what a great weekend
Due to being on crutches I wasn't able to go on the off-road ride-out and how bloody envious was I when I watched them heading back, covered in mud and grins all over their faces - especially when I also saw the pics and videos later that night.
Meanwhile, Anna and I had played a great cut-throat game of scrabble with bonus points for words connected with riding - which was was how some newbies found us and despite out protestations, I think they're now convinced that HU Meets are more about softies playing board games than getting muddy and talking about travels and exploits through exotic countries.
Well done to Ela on her first HU presentation - it was great, so inspiring to see her amazing pictures of South America (she only got back in December)and guess what chaps, here's a woman who knows about modifications and is happy to talk about them, so look out for Ela at Ripley.
Thank you to Iain (Rossi) for organising such a great meet and to Mark for ably assisting and getting through more Doom Bar than anyone else.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
