Cracking time
Big thanks to Ian for making this weekend happen, I think it's clear that everyone had a cracking time.
I thoroughly enjoyed the off road ride, and think everyone enjoyed the challenge of taking relatively unsuitable bikes down some very interesting lanes.
Tiffany it was great to see you again.
Mez, best of luck with the India trip and getting the XL's prepared for September. It'd be great to see you at our Summer/Autumn meet in Somerset.
Stickysidedown I'll get the GPX file to you as soon as I can, should be tomorrow. Give us a shout if you fancy doing some lanes up this neck of the woods sometime...
Clayton, you did extremely well on those lanes, and on that bike. Good for you, a lot lot better than I'd have done on my first off road ride!

Thank You
Many thanks Ian and Mark for hosting this event. Your hospitality was wonderful and it was great to see some familiar HU faces again and also to meet some new folks too. I very much enjoyed the weekend and imagine that upon its success it'll become something of a regular event.
I don't have any pictures from the weekend, so please can folks post up what they might have...
Enjoy, Noel.

Thank you to everyone for coming and making the weekend so enjoyable. It is the people who attend that make these events, not the organisation. Special thanks of course go to Tiffany and Pumpy for putting on such inspiring presentations.
For anybody considering whether to host a similar event, I would say go for it. It was the first event I have run and it wasn't that difficult to do. Major thanks to Mark though, as without his help it would have been much harder.
The good news is that your contributions have paid for the and ensured that both the Hall Committee and school received a generous donation. Comments from the locals so far have all been positive; in fact I have been asked when the next one is. I have even had an offer to run a bbq at breakfast time selling bacon rolls.
I would like to have a rest now but have several other jobs to get on with. Watch this space though for another date, possibly later in the year. Hopefully it will be a bit warmer next time so we can get a fire going outside one evening and get a little bit more grip on the trails.

Cant wait for the next one
I had a really great time and it was fantastic meeting new people and putting faces to names at long last. Really well organised and another one at the end of July would be fantastic? Hopefully the wind wont be so harsh and I can bring my tent home instead of leaving it in the skip!!

Thank you all for a great event: Iain for organising it, Mark for his support, the village for its hall, Tiffany for her lively talk and everyone else for making the effort of travelling to Darite in this grim February weather.
It's always nice to put faces to names and to chat about bikes and trips for hours. Shame that I couldn't get away from home earlier and hence missed the trails on Saturday (I had even changed my tyres... ) - hope there will be a next time.
Thank you also for your encouraging feedback on my first HU presentation; I'm glad that you found it inspirational - that was my main objective, cheers.
Hope to see you all again soon!

Thanks
Rather belated - but can we just add our thanks to all and sundry for the weekend. Brilliant. I think Saturday was the best days green laning we've had for years! Hope you enjoyed the antics of the outfit. We certainly had fun.
Really enjoyed the talks, the friendliness, the , the pub, the humour, the advice and the company.
I promised to get in touch with various people after the event but as I don't have 5 posts yet, I can't. Feel free to get in touch with me instead.
Looking forward to the next one...
John and Chris.

Hello And Thanks For Coming
What a weekend!
I cannot thankyou all enough for visiting us down here.
Yes its Mark , finally got myself together and got a logon.
Biggest thanks has to go to Iain for just doing it
It was great to meet everyone and I must thank Ela and Tiff for sharing their travels. Actually I think it was better that we didnt get the projector as it was actually quite cosy, more of a family slide show in the front room.
My kids all really enjoyed meeting you and i think they will be free spirits themselves.
The ride out was great, even the slightly interesting bit up the slate slope, I have realised I need to work on my fitness.
I must say it was brilliant to meet you all and yes I am hopeing we can do it again.
I have some phots for you all so will see if I can upload them, or if I mess this up, email me and I will send them (I am not glued to the computer so it can be a few days till I get online).
PS If anyone is down this neck of the woods and needs help, you know where I am, well ish.
Just tried to upload the files, no joy so will have to revisit this later. please contact me if you want the phots and some film of the rideout
Cheers All

Thanks for posting them.
I was wondering the other day about a repeat event, but hopefully with nicer weather. I have LOTS on at the moment but might be able to manage something over the school summer holidays???
Anyway, it looks like I will be at Ripley so I hope to see you all there.

Hi folks
I mentioned to a few of you at Ripley that I might be doing another mini meet over the summer holiday. I've just taken on a bit of a project and there's now no way I'm going to be able to do a meet over the summer. Watch this space though for a date later in the year, possibly at the end of October, and details of a new location.
I hope to get to the Bristol meet (but won't arrive till the Friday night) and will know a bit more by then.

Barbara and I were sorry we couldn't make it to the last meeting in then end. We're taking a group of bikes across Canada for GlobeBusters in August, but would love to come to an event if it's in the autumn.

Hi Craig
It would be great if you both could make it. We had a fantastic weekend in February despite the time of year. The combination of doom bar, trail riding and inspiring presentations from Tiffany and Ella, along with great company, made a good weekend.
I was your Tech at Ripley by the way. Always nice to put faces to names.
