Aye, I'm often amazed myself at what sometimes comes out of the woodwork up this way...
You'll all laugh at my bike cos it's so clean, talk about a wannabe. In my defence my recent Africa trips have been made on other peoples machines like this: A Quick Lap of Botswana (and a bit of Namibia and Zim) - ADVrider
but I'm making plans to ship my GS out to Africa for a longer period than I can usually manage in the not too distant future.

Hi Folks,
I've just recently started using the site again after a few years away.. My last overland trip, and reason for using the site, was 4x4 related. This time, however, I've seen the light and am going for two wheels (although I've still to figure out how Im' going to carry my surf board on the bike!).
Would be great to meet some of you in person. I might pop over from Forres for the day if that's ok?
Cheers
Liam

Hi Bruce am booked in for some very major spinal surgery last week in March - however I will be in a somewhat poorly state for about 6 weeks post op and fairly housebound then a further 4 to 6 month ongoing recovery -so wont make the meet. But Thanks very much for the offer you made. Good news is that if all goes well by 2014 I should be able to start riding again - road stuff and nothing too heavy on the old bones so no dirt riding -or huge distant stuff but its a start - so that for me is a huge relief - so maybe pencil me in for the 2014 meet eh !. Jake.

Hi Guys
Hope to make it this year. It completely slipped my mind last year! I think I'll just pop over for the Saturday ride again.
Cheers, Rory

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
