For those looking for a wee bit of luxury the campsite in Cannich have opened new heated camping pods which I believe are quite reasonably priced.Click on to Cannich Caravan & Camping park for details.

Hi Angus afraid its looking iffy to get up there - as I have another issue after a test run on the bike ( as its had so much work done and most of it non standard stuff its become a trail of little problems to sort. So I can not get the MOT done (its a brake issue) and I need to work on the caliper mount to get it right. If I can get this sorted , the gearbox is done then I may get it MOTd in time to travel up but I think I am going to be pushing the limit a bit. If I can get sorted I will be there but I cant make a promise at this late stage. Jake.
As you can see the bilge pump has been transformed into a full on Dakar HPN type bike ( as I wont be travelling any more other than a few 3 week trips then its been a bit of an indulgence so from this into this the tarts handbag.

I left home for the MOT garage this morning all issues I had were now resolved so get the MOT and tax then we are ready to head north tomorrow - but the short 15 mile run to the mot garage sorted that, the fork seals leaked badly on the bike on its maiden run out - so that was an MOT failure. The forks were overhauled by white power last week and new seals etc fitted - so a bit of a problem to solve I am afraid so again no bike.. till this is sorted. So have to miss out on the weekend sorry to say - hope you all have a great weekend and it even looks like your going to get a reasonable weather window for the weekend - hope to see you all sometime soon - Jake.

Holy moly, that is one smart looking bike Jake, lovely. Just get some gaiters around the forks and tell the MOT man to slap a ticket on it:-)
Chizz and Angus, I should be joining you on Friday evening and despite the motorbike running great I think I'll bring the pedal bike this time, maybe get there about 10.30pm or so. Keep the bar open:-)

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
