A very ordinary sight this.
Ordinary :confused1:
Well, maps, info sharing and a pint of the good stuff are the norm eh.

Just a thought, Iain and I are going to be at the BMF Show in Peterborough on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend. We'll be in the Adventure Overland hall. If anyone fancies popping over for a 'Hello' please do.
Bring friends who haven't been to the HUBB UK before with you. Happy to share the buzz with them. You can also pick up flyers from us for the Dover to Donington ride with Grant and Susan.

This is the first and last time we will be sponsoring the World Cup, we will leave it to Coca Cola and the like in the future lol

Presentation Preview
Just over a month to get myself organised for two presentations that I hope will amuse, enthuse and inspire fellow HUBBERS at what promises to be another outstanding event - so no pressure then!
My first offering of '54 Not Out' reflects a life time of travel to many parts of the world, interspersed with adventures closer to home and will last around 90 minutes. Photos and anecdotes will be supported by a look at some of the essential kit I use with my 'expedition vehicle' (don't get your hopes up Unimog fans) available for closer inspection on the campsite during the entire event.
Questions from the floor will be welcome but for a more personal touch bring a mug to the van for a brew and a biccy.
A second presentation will look in more detail at a two year trip to NZ and Oz with the trusty bus shipped from Southampton to Auckland, then Sydney and out of Perth back to the UK. Wonderful memories compressed in to 40 minutes which will eat in to QnA's so again drop by the van for more detailed info.
If you really can't wait until June have a nose round Travellers Tales and make use of the 'search' facility. Translation is also available courtesy the Google Widget.
See you there and safe travels.

I suspect there will be a lode of pads/slates slung off bikes with the games on and the odd wagon with a 56" screen.

HI Sam,
I saw the announcement for the ride Dover-Donington with Grant and Susan.
I like the idea riding with them and I´m happy that I´m in Englang at at that time.
Where can I find some further information about starting time or meeting point?
Cause I have to change some plans riding the south of UK then.
Could you help me?
Tabea

Because I'm feeling a bit pooped after the BMF show I'm sitting having a ride down memory lane this morning. There are quite a few Youtube films from previous years of the HUBB UK out there and they've all made me smile. What a brilliant atmosphere. This one is from Louise Wilson.

I see you've said you're going on the Facebook event page. Do you still need more info or are you all sorted now?

It’s just 30 days to go!!!! The HUBB UK starts on Thursday the 19th of June.
"What a FANTASTIC event!!!!! We found the atmosphere totally different to our usual events; everyone was so friendly – it was almost like one big family. We found the talks inspiring... the HUBB event isn’t a show – rather it is a ‘gathering of like-minded people’, and we decided we liked that very much."
Love that

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
