And a note from Ed to anyone who might be tempted to stand on their footpegs while riding through the campsite.

I think there's still a few tutorial slots left - you could do a talk on it! Why not - there seems to be talks on just about everything else.

My bike is currently on a ship inbound from Sydney to the UK, i have been informed it won't be here until the 23rd of June.
All my camping gear is in the crate with the bike, i have registered and paid for the HUBB UK event but with no easy way to get there or a tent, its minimum 11 hours to get there from London via public transport and walking if i don't get lost.
Is anyone from London heading over and back via their car and would allow me to tag along for fuel money?
Also I'm looking to rent at least a tent if anyone won't be using their one for the event. I can find cheap used tents on eBay, getting to the event is more what I need help with.
Cheers and looking forward to meeting some of you at the event

Hi, i can supply you with a single skin one man tent and sleeping bag if you like FOC that you can keep, the tent has never been used the sleeping bag used maybe two or three times, let me know by Wed evening before i pack my gear.
I'll be getting there Thursday afternoon.

Hia again. With the event getting ever closer, we are now arranging our pickups for the trip down to Brecon. It is clear that we will arrive after Reception has closed on Thursday night, but will we still be able to access the camping fields and set up our tentage, or will we have to wait somewhere for Reception to open in the morning before we can come in?

I see the events schedule is now on-line (version 3) HERE.
Can anyone tell me what the red "R" and "RL" refers to on some of the events, please?
Cheers,
Robin.

HUBBUK 2016, Baskerville Hall, June 16-19
RL I believe is 'repeated later', R is 'repeat' I think. Think it's at bottom of 1st day.

Thanks

Missing it
Have a great event everyone.
I'll miss it this year because I'll be in the Pyrenees or the Massif Central or... ...well, somewhere on the road anyway.
Enjoy the weekend and catch up with of you somewhere in the future.

Very sadly I'm not going to be able to make it to the HUBB UK this year. I've only missed 3 of the 15! Always brilliant fun, full of inspiration and the pure buzz of overlanding!
Why not with you guys? I'm on a book signing and presentation tour in Arizona and California at the moment.
The new HUBB UK venue looks brilliant and the list of presenters and coaches? Top notch!
Have a ball mates

You can buy the weekend pass only, that is the cheapest option for access, no one day tickets available.

Hey Jay, Sorry for not replying I was busy travelling in Scotland with no wifi till the day before the event. I ended buying a super cheap waterproof tent from tesco $13 (which let in water almost instantly) which i will be returning, and a $7 sleeping bag which was actually ok haha. I really do appreciate the offer. My bike and camping gear arrives in a week so i can start camping properly and not get wet whenever it rains.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
