Northern Mini Meet...
Just a quick note to let all you northern riders that Chris Bright, Jasper Ditton, and I are having a quiet 'gathering' a pub in the Northern Peaks/East Manchester (venue to be decided....suggestions?) area on the 13th March. It will probably be an early evening 'do', and I'll probably be stopping for food if I can. If anyone is interesed keep an eye on this thread and we'll post a location in the next week or so.
Alternatively if this is your home stomping ground and you want to suggest a location that'd be great too!!
Hope to see a few of you a bit sooner than the Summer. All the best,
Dave Lomax

Would like to come along but 13 march is a monday - work etc cant travel all that way North Northumberland to Manchester for a few hours - could you not make it a fri or sat and maybe a country pub with camping.
I just ran a little meet for 10 - 15 lads like that at The Lion Inn Blakey Ridge North Yorks last month great food, and conversation. Stayed just the sat night camping £2.50 made it easy for those to come a bit further. Strangers who are now mates great way to meet new folk.

Monday 13th March is definitely happening.
Having said that, I'd certainly enjoy meeting/camping somewhere in the North. Any suggested weekend dates and locations? Maybe during April?
What do people think?
Cheers
Chris Bright

I will look into something for April. The pub I mention above is nice But also there are several great venues in the Borders that might strike up some interest.

Are there any suggested venues for this meeting yet? Would the Glossop area be a good suggestion or were you thinking of further North or nearer the Manchester suburbs?

Glossop area sounds good, although I was thinking of a little further north around Hollingworth. There are some pretty cool pubs around there and its mid way between Chris and I. Would that area be OK for people?

Hollingworth is OK with me. There is that quite large pub next to the lake which is quite popular with bikers on a Sunday. Sorry can't remember the name.
