Off-road training in the North east (Newcastle area)
Can anyone recommend a person or place for basic off-road motorcycle training in the North east (Newcastle area). I am going on an adventure and would like to get a couple of training days under my belt in Aug before I travel. Many thanks in advance.

Talk to the local TRF
also look at the Otterburn military training area and the Forrest drive through kielder Forrest. That's 15 miles or so of Forrest track you can legally ride.

Try contacting Brian Eland - if you can't get him on here try his facebook account - he is a grand bloke (bit of a madman ) and an unbelievably cracking good rider and am sure he used to do training on small courses or one to one. Maybe does not now but might point you in the right direction. Jake.

if you want anything sorted with me it'll have to be next couple of weeks as away to Italy on the bike end of month or could book in at the Horizons weekend at Haggs bank in September I'm going to be there doing a small amount of training come try out etc.
best thing is give drop me a line sure we'll sort something.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
