The First UK Adventure Challenge.
Weekend of 25th/26th September.
This is not a racing event. Competitors will be faced with a number of different course sections. Some in the fields, some in the woods.
Right now there will be two different classes. Single cylinders with a capacity of 600cc or more and twins. The idea is to offer something not too challenging so you can use your own bike.
There are a number of byways you can ride close to the farm if you want to ride-out during the day.
Based upon a minimum of 50 people, the all in price will be £50 per person.
The price includes on site camping Friday and Saturday nights. Breakfast (bacon roll, eggs, sausages, tea, coffee) on Saturday and Sunday mornings and a Wysipig hog roast on the Saturday night. www.wysipig.co.uk
Any refreshment will need to be brought with you. Portable loo’s but no showers.
Craig Bounds will be joining us for the weekend and doing demonstration rides on his rally bike during the day. Craig’s preparing for his third Dakar in South America and would welcome any sponsorship help we can give. http://craigbounds.co.uk/
TriCounty Motorcycles will also be at the event and depending upon availability at the time, will bring along some demonstration bikes. http://www.tricountymotorcycles.co.uk/
The location will be Ellis’s Hill Farm, Sindlesham Road, Arborfield, RG2 9JG
<http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=Ellis%E2%80%99s+Hill+Farm,+Sindlesham +Road,+Arborfield,+RG2+9JG&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Ellis +Hill+Farm,+Sindlesham+Rd,+Arborfield,+Reading+RG2 +9JG,+United+Kingdom&ll=51.402746,-0.892425&spn=0.003929,0.01545&t=h&z=17>
We will be using the field with the huts in and the one south of that. We will also be using the woods north of the fields.
To reserve a space you will need to pay your £50. If we don’t get enough to cover the event I will return your money. You can pay by Paypal to the following e-mail address simon1725@hotmail.co.uk
If you have a registered bank account on your Paypal account, use the gift payment option then it will save us both the fees. If not, you need to pay the fee. If you want to pay via electronic transfers PM me. I can also take a cheque if you prefer.
This is not a money making exercise for me. I want to set up an event that we can all enjoy.

From what I've read I'm certainly interested.
Only concern for me is that I've never entered any type of competition before, let alone on a 950 with knobblies.
Is this being geared for first timers, or is it better to have some experience?

Hi Rich
This is being geared to first timers but I'm sure there will be people with more experience as well.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
