West Midland (UK) HUers sign in here
I know it is a bit Cheezy and I admit that I am stealing this concept from an other bike site. But I have just started a Staffordshire Community here. So the point of this thread is: 1) advertising it a bit to renerate some interest and 2) want to find out who and how many HUers are in the this Area.. So Please drop a line here and maybe we can start to get some pub-nights and mini-meet arranged

West Midlands
Hi Xander
I live in Alcester (8 miles west of Stratford-upon-Avon) and my good pal Mark who I travel with a lot is in Coventry - I suppose that puts us in the West Midlands ?

I'm in Walsall, West Mids. I tour Europe on either a Harley-Davidson or Moto Guzzi. I'd be interested in meeting others in the area.

Hey guys. From Shrwesbury aswell. Only been as far as Belgium and Holland so far. Not sure whether to fly to India and buy an Enfield or ride there on a KLR650. Money being a major consideration.
Anyway, would welcome a meet even if its only a night in a pub or a ride out!
....See MysteryB is also from Shrewsbury. - I've msg'd you on facebook. Hope you don't mind!

Name a time and a place for such minimeet and i'll be there! 1 month ahead i can book it off work. Any less and i may be able to pull some strings.
See there's a 7th northern meet. Bit out the way for me, but maybe go.
Been in the Midlands should be a central place for many hubbers. Finding a venue shouldn't be a problem either.
I see a plan coming together.....

This could be something really interesting, although I'd just like to add my 2 penneth and say that I absolutely detest meeting up and standing around admiring each others bikes. Much prefer to actually go somewhere
Incidentally, if you know anyone who's after a big adventure type bike, my ktm 990 S is up for grabs. Punt em my way please?
Thanks

I am another 'East Midlander (Jcn 18 M1) but work in West Mids, so hope I qualify by virtue of that!
Am disgracefully new to adv touring and biking in general (one camping trip to wales is my sole experience thus far.!) but really keen to get into it so love to join any mini-meet, to meet and ride (hopefully some off-road) with you 'experienced types..'
Location unimportant to me, and I'll go with the flow on dates!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
