calling all kle500 owners

There seems to be quite a few of us now, but i have to say that when i went to the HU meeting in derbyshire last summer, i was quite dissapionted by the lack of Kle's represented( only three).

So this is a call out to all you guys to throw a leg over the saddle and make your way there that weekend so we can all meet, have a drink and get some stickers. See you there.

Matt.

Hi UK KLE guys,

A little off topic but I am looking for a 2007 KLE new in London area or South and see a few people have said they can find them for less than £3000 in the HUBB. Can anyone point me in the direction of a dealership in my area that has them for this price or abouts?

The best I have seen so far is £3500 in Surbiton, but I have only started looking a couple days ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Travis

Travis, I bought a KLE 3 weeks ago from Kawasaki Direct (they told me it was the last they had) for just under £3k. DK motorcycles in Staffordshire offered me one at £2999 but then on the road costs were extra. Orrell and Preston motorcycles advertise at around £3,250 but they are obviously further away than you wanted. Another company Drayton in the Midlands have a KLE for £3,500 and apparently do not wish to negotiate.
It appears that the national stock of new KLE's is reducing and dealers want to retain some margins.

Good hunting, the best of luck

Neil

Thanks Neil,

I had a look at Kawasaki Direct but they dont list them online anymore so obviously they are the last ones as there is no '08 model. I may still try them on Tuesday over the phone as they may have been trying to shift the last few and they may still have one or two, its worth a go I reckon!

As far as I can see there are quite a few around in dealerships here but like you say nobody wants to drop the price yet, tight buggers! I am sure as they continue to collect dust on the showroom floors dealers will be forced to sell them on, but the gamble is if I leave it too long I may loose out, and I only really like the dark blue one.

Thanks for the help though, I may try to pull some strings and get them to throw in a bigger screen and luggage racks and/or centre stand for £3500, hardly likely given the general disinterest in these bikes by the 'tattoo, bald head and naked superbike loving, rather sit and drink tea in a car park than get out there and explore' people who seem to dominate the market here and run all the local shops. A big generalisation there but Im sure you know what I mean.

Oh by the way, how are you finding your KLE? Im taking a step back from a 650 single to the KLE as I have had enough of second-hand Italian bike problems and costs. So am banking on the KLE to be reliable and a good compromise.

Thanks again

Travis

I know what you mean about dealers, had my fill of them recently.
Kawasaki Direct are closed on Tuesdays after Public Holidays so you will have to wait until Wednesday to make contact.
Like a lot of people on the site I was looking for a good priced new machine. The KLE team on the site are very keen on the bike, and while they highlight the weakneses they are still riding them, sometimes at the expense of other bikes.
Personally I am having a ball with the bike. Enjoying every minute and trying to clock up the mileage to complete running it in.

I am sure you will find a positive difference between the KLE twin and an Italian single.
Wish you luck with your purchase and I do not think you will regret the decision.

Neil

Travis,

Try

Motorcycle Dealer - MCO - Motorcycle Centre Orrell Ltd - Aprilia - Benelli - Ducati - Honda - Kawasaki - Suzuki - Yamaha - Kawasaki Z1000

They had a couple of them in when I was there a short time ago, they do nationwide delivery.

Hope this helps

Roy
