KLE 500 stand
Guys...
I am happy that I found this topi. So did anyone tried the central stand ? I got an KLE 2007 and I want to purchase one. Was difficult to mount it ? You need to renounce at the side stand ?
I seen at that company also a lowering kit. I got the same question: does anybody tried the kit ? They say that you get additional 60 mm which I found confortable for city roads...
Just waiting for your reply

Petre, Check out voleurs thread - KLE 05 with accessories. You will see photo guide to fitting centre stand. It is easy to fit, the only problem I encountered was putting both springs on but it can be done. Side stand remains in place. It may take you a few attempts to master putting bike on centre stand as it is not located on balance point of bike, situated slightly to rear.
I have raising kit on my bike. Easy to remove tie rods (dog bones) and replace. Greatest difficulty I had was removing bolt close to exhaust. I got around the problem by lying bike on ground, just a leverage thing.
Same principal to lower rear of bike

I have the raising kit as well. You wont have the problem with the side stand anymore when bike is raised.
Also fitted the centre stand to my 2005 KLE. Even if it says it is only for old model KLE it fits the newer ones.
Cheers,
Frank

I only managed to get one of the springs on mine. I thought they sent the second spring by accident. Does the skinny one fit inside the fat one or what?

All the issues modern bike owners have because of no centre stand is really a pain in the _ss. I would rather my KLE be a few kgs heavier and have the convenience of a centre stand than all the aggravation experienced by not having one. MY KLE has probably cost me 3 times the price of an aftermarket centre stand from damage caused by the bike repeatedly falling off the side stand on various occasions. A mid-sized dual-purpose bike with a centre stand will definitely get vote next purchase if I can actually one.

+1
Those kick stands are a real design flaw. The guy who sold me my KLE's five-year-old daughter pulled the bike over on top of herself the day before I bought it. She was fine - bike less so. Then, the day I bought it, I stopped on the way home and - voila - dropped it. Since then I have dropped it once more for luck.
Those Mototech centre stands aren't great IMO. I only use mine when I'm working on the bike - and even then I usually tie the front brake lever. It takes very little to pitch it off the stand.
Don't know if this has happened to anyone else but my first Mototech centre stand broke after about 6 months. Mototech replaced it for me no questions.

Hey Nathan,
I have a '07 KLE with the SW Motech centre stand and it works a treat. Go for it. Pics in the KLE pics thread.
